‘Inside Rowing the Outside Handbook – 20 Year Anniversary Edition’

Following on from the completion of a brand new club and facilities, Neptune Rowing Club are now looking to raise funds to purchase a competitive racing four. A rejuvenated and invigorated squad have been taking to the land and water in the past few months but are in dire need of a boat capable of translating that work to racing. A ‘novel’ fundraising approach was given the go-ahead by coach Barry Currivan and Neptune old-boy Gary O’Neill.
It is 20 years since they released ‘Inside Rowing the Outside Handbook’ when it became a hit amongst the rowing generation of the time. 20 years on its witty rhymes still describe the ins and outs and idiosyncrasies of our beloved/behated sport and the characters involved.
Whether you’re pushing off the slip onto the Charles River, involved in the brawl of the Silverskiff, your Henley done before the crowd is drunk, your body tanned and glistening in the southern hemisphere sun or you’re holding a boat up to your waist, frozen, in a muddy lake then this book will ring true for you.
For example - on coaching;
The advice that one most often hears
On picking five and six
Is "Get men with muscles to their ears,
And not too much betwixt."
The book is a must for those involved in the sport of Rowing and at €5 plus P&P it’s a bargain.
Delivery times are between 3 and 12 working days depending on where you are in the world.
