About Neptune Rowing Club

Founded in 1908, Neptune Rowing Club is one of the largest clubs in Ireland and is one of only two clubs in Dublin which is not affiliated to an institution. It caters for oarsmen and oarswomen from Junior 12 to the more experienced level of Senior oarsmen.

Neptune Rowing Club has established itself as one of the major forces in Irish rowing by winning no less than 150 National Irish Championships at all grades including men’s and women’s from Junior to Senior since 1914. Neptune has won a number of Henley Regatta events such as the ‘Ladies Plate’, ‘Britannia Challenge Cup’ and the ‘Thames Challenge Cup’. Most recently Neptune won the ‘Parkside Trophy’ at Henley Women’s Regatta which was the only Irish victory on the day.

Some of the clubs members have gone onto represent Ireland in the Olympics and the World Rowing Championships.

The Club has a modern fleet of racing boats. These include 5 Eights, 6 Coxed Fours/Quads, 5 Coxless Fours/Quads, 6 Pairs/Doubles and 12 sculls. Land based facilities include a modern gymnasium and weights room. The Club also has 15 Concept II Model “D” ergometers.

The Club colours are Green and Black. The "one piece" presented below is the acceptable Neptune one piece for racing.
